Ponch Is Lord

22 July 2004

CONVERSION NOTICE: This is one of 250+ blogs that originally appeared on MySpace.  I’ve done my best to represent it with as much historical accuracy as possible, but there are limitations.  Read about it in the FAQ.

I was talking about old television shows with a friend today at work. We were recounting such classics as Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, Fall Guy, Knight Rider, and of course, CHiP’s. Well he gave me some lip over how he just didn’t like Erik Estrada.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Erik Estrada is one of my favorite actors ever. I know his career’s in the toilet, but it only makes me wish I were in the movie biz so I could get him some work. Ponch is Lord.

He always seemed like he’d be the ultimate neighbor to have, you know? Like you’d mow his lawn for $5 when you were growing up. Maybe he was your little league coach. Always a big smile on his face. He might have a boat in his yard. Maybe he’d even take you and your family out on his boat.

I like boats.

Holy crap… do I have a crush on Erik Estrada?

Achtung!  You are at the absolute furthest reaches of this blog.  There are no entries before this date.  (Unless I someday decide to be clever and write historical blogs on significant past dates, like July 4th, 1776, etc.)

What follows are the 250+ blogs I originally wrote on MySpace between 2004 and early 2010, i.e. the Dark Ages.  Details on the very manual conversion process to get them here can be found in the FAQ.  In January 2010, I started up here on WordPress, and so that’s where my continued writings native to this platform begin.  The New Testament, as it were.  Enjoy!
