Those of you who have known me for a while may remember the interesting experience at last year’s Sea Of Dreams event on New Year’s Eve.
Ahh yes Ben-jamin….it has been quite a year, hasn’t it? It was exactly one year ago tonight when we played Edinburgh Castle (only our 3rd show). It was pouring rain, the PA blew up, Orlando drank himself to oblivion, it was the first time Sus and Shell saw us perform, and Christina got a ride home from me eventhough she had to ride shot-gun in the Del Sol with my bass drum on her lap.
From the El Rio to The Edinburgh, from Slim’s to The Derby in LA….and to the Troubadour in two weeks. Who knew our little band would grow up to be such a strapping young lad?
I don’t wanna make a big statement about 2007 because I don’t wanna jinx it, but what the hell….we’re pretty unstoppable at this point, huh?
Funny you mentioned “Sing our Life” as I was listening all day to that special version recorded on KROQ many years ago:
