Current Mood:  relaxed

So my latest project involves a 4/10 work week… meaning I work Monday through Thursday for 10 hours a day, and then get Fridays off.

It’s Friday.

I’m off.

But I’m sitting in Livermore getting my car serviced and running other errands. But I’m not working, so I think this is still technically my weekend. The point is that I’m sitting here in BFE… on a laptop… connected to the internet and writing this… all for free. Checking my email in the boonies. I feel like Jared. How convenient is this? I love technology…not as much as Morrissey… but I still love technology…

Smiths Cover Band

Current Mood:  restless

So I’m meeting with a few guys this week to put together a Smiths cover band here in SF. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

If it falls apart, c’est la vie.

If it works out, me and the band are going to stomp all you poseur bitches out there, and you know who you are. All you shitty bands playing shitty music that disappoints me 90% of the time I go to see a live show around here. I will now be putting my money where my mouth is. Yes, your stuff is original. Mine, on the other hand, will be listenable. Bitches.

In other news, I went and saw the Coppertones at Thee Parkside the other night. Some good old traditional surf rock. It was great. But the opening band was some punk monstrosity. And the venue was clearly a punk bar. I hate punks. I didn’t like them, and they didn’t like me. Of course, I was at least a head taller than anyone else in the room. Touch me… come on… just bump into me. Give me one dirty look. See what happens. You filthy fucking animals. I hate punks.

But I love the Smiths. And I like the idea of playing them live. How about you?
